Will's First Real Visit

My boyfriend still lives where we met and decided not to move to Sacramento due to his upcoming school schedule, so for now we visit. He helped me move here in June, but this was the first time he got to see me all settled in and we could have a more relaxed weekend. It was stifling hot the whole time he was here and his version of "hot weather" is 70 degrees, so we tried to stay indoors as much as possible. We went to the Railroad museum that has a lot of original trains that you can go into or at least peek into, like a 1930s sleeper train and dining car. It was really neat and Will wanted his picture taken with the hobo from an exhibit upstairs. Later in the day we walked around the neighborhood and hit up the Salvation Army and a local furniture/home decor/junk shop. Between the two places I got a picnic basket suitcase, a small Beethoven statue and the vintage portrait. He found some weird Baby Jesus art made of angels and clouds that only he and old devoutly-religious ladies would like. Before he left my sister, her husband, Will, and I took a trip to Old Town so my sister could get some fabric to make a corset, but they were all out. It wasn't a total bust though because I got a boater-esque hat. I've been on the search for one for ages and it was only $10! I'm going to sew a comb in the brim so I can secure it to my head better and maybe steam it a little so it has some sharper lines, but I'm tickled pink that I have one now. A few hours after he left my sister and I were bored so we went to the SPCA thrift store and I found a vintage-looking swim cap and sunglasses. I have a similar pair, but these ones look more authentic.
