So since my last post, done ages ago I know, I have uprooted myself and moved to Sacramento. My twin sister moved here last summer and has some idea of the neat things to do around town and a few weekends ago she introduced me to the antique expo they have here every second Sunday of the month. To say it was amazing is an understatement. I'm used to flea markets that are contained within one small hall at a fairgrounds, but this took up two ginormous parking lots underneath an overpass. I told my sister that I was worried that my brain was going to explode from sheer glee. I could have spent many more hours and many more dollars, but I came away with some great stuff: a 1920s step-in cream slip, a 1960s green party dress, a beaded 1950s collar, a 1950s? coral looking rose necklace (but it's probably plastic), some kitchy charms and on of the most amazing dresses I have ever laid eyes on! It's a coral silk, tiered dress from the late 1940s/early 1950s that looks and feels like liquid. It doesn't fit me, but I just had to have it with the $10 price tag and I followed a woman around like a pesky fly to see if she was going to put it back and walk away and she did! I can't wait to go back next month and see what treasures I can find!
